FROM: Steve Ellis, State Clearinghouse SUBJECT: Closed Basin Division--San Luis Valley Project (Draft EIS) MAJOR ACTION This is to inform you that the above-referenced project has now been designated as a MAJOR ACTION, with the Department of Natural Resources acting as lead Agency. The project was sent to you for review approxi- mately two weeks ago, but since ,it has now been designated a Major Action, we are requesting that your agency give it particular attention for review. Although it is too late at this stage to develop a review work program, we have scheduled a meeting for all reviewing agencies. Any agency having particular concerns or issues should be prepared to raise them at the meeting, so that the Lead Agency will be able to work with you to resolve or discuss any such significant matters prior to formulation of an overall State position on this project. The review and meeting schedule is as follows: Meeting - Friday, May 18, 9:00 A.M. at the Division of Planning Conference Room - Room 520 Centennial 8ldg. (13l3 Sherman Street), Denver, Colorado. Comments due to Clearinghouse - Wednesday, May 30, 1979. Development of overall state response - May 30, 1979 through June 4, 1979, with the final response to be trans- mitted on June 4, 1979.
