Cliffs-Divide Project

PARSHALL UNIT

'The Parshall Unit would use waters of the
Williams River and some of its tributaries with
regulation and storage in Ute Park Reservoir. The
Reservoir would have a capacity of 43,000 acre feet
of which 40,000 acre feet would be active.
This Unit would provide water to 27,500 acres
of land along the Williams River, on the south side
of the Colorado River below the mouth of the Williams
River, in the Li tt le Muddy Creek drainage, and along
the east side of the lower reaches of the Blue River',
The Blue River area, some of the area along the
Colorado River and the area in Little Muddy Creek
are all Gutside the Williams River Basin. Of the
total of 27,500 acres in this unit, 24,400 acres are
full service land and 3100 aores are supplemental
service. The average water supply provided to Unit
would be 68,700 acre feet per year.
Depletion of the flow of the Colorado River
is estimated at 28,600 acre feet per year.
The construction cost of the Unit is estimated
at $12,026;100 of which $8,171,900 is the estimated

cost of the Reservoir. , Annual operation and maintenance

costs are estimated at $32,700.
