F. Storage Contracts

In water year 1981 the project had oontracts with a number of entities
for storage of the entities' water in project storage space. ~ are
long tenn oontracts---a oontract with CF&I Steel Coq:oration for finn
storage for 17,416 acre-feet of replacement storage and 10,000 acre-feet
of additional storage, and the High Line Canal Caupany for 10,000 acre-
feet. The renaining oontracts listed below are I-year interim contracts
for if-and-when storage space as follows:

G. Project Water Sales and Deliveries

The project rold 25,000 acre-feet of water to the Southeastern Colorado
Water Conservancy District during water year 1981. Through the end of
Septanber, 15,170 acre-feet had been delivered. The Fryingpan-Arkansas
Project water released fram Pueblo Reservoir is shown on Exhibit 7.

H. Reservoir Storage Allocation Data

Table 9 presents the reservoir storage allocation data for the five
reservoirs in the Fryingpan-Arkansas Project.

IV. OPERATICN PLAN FOR WATER YEAR 1982

A. General

The rrost probable oondition of water supply has been oonsidered for use
by the available facilities of the Fryingpan-Arkansas Project, according
to established operating criteria under assumed oonditions of inflow.
Changing oonditions may require adjustments to the proposed operating
plan. Forecasts of the April-July runoff will J:;e initiated in February
1982 and oontinue during each succeeding IlOnth through May. These
forecasts are ba,sed up::m the Soil Conservation Service I s IlOnthl y snow
survey, nonrel precipitation for the ranainder of the season, and
historic runoff patterns.

The contract with Southeastern Colorado Water Conservancy District
requires that by April 15 notification J:;e given to the District of the
quantity of water that will be available to them. This quantity is in
excess of the buildup of storage necessary for minimum FOOls and ~r
operation, evaporation, and transportation losses.
