Ojo~a6

\' ,',
.J

July 7, 1993

Gunnison Planning Model - Info Theme No.1

Information Related to Inflows

1. Ops Code: The "Cramhooks" code pays no attention to inflows.
It neither inspects them nor alters them.

It is a fundamental requirement for the design of the network, the
solution step sequence, the permissable ranges of input data, and
the operations that users are allowed to perform via the user
interface that the model will never reach an infeasible solution.
This requirement implies that negative values cannot be used for
inflows.

2. User Interface: Support needs to be provided for users to
modify inflow data, with error checking to ensure that negative
values are never included. Editing modes will include direct
editing of individual values within the 12 X 40 tables of
AF/month, and the importation of externally generated files of
inflow data. The inflow data will be passed to the ops code in
the form of highs on INFL arcs.

The functionality of adding or disaggregating inflows or
modifying the network with respect to stream topology will not
be required for the first version of the planning model, but,
where possible, implementation decisions should facilitate the
later addition of such functionality.

." ..1.,. .

~ ~-,;",,,,.,,,,;:",>...;<,,- -~,--;,- .~-"~~.<,-~~:
