<br />Table 4-12 and are shown on Plate 2-1. The area downstream from
<br />the Purgatoire River is within the reservoir limits of John Martin
<br />Dam and is not included as a reach. In each of the nine reaches,
<br />areas inundated and damages were estimated for a number of flood
<br />discharges and discharge-damage relationship curves prepared.
<br />Ilischarge-damage data were correlated with discharge-frequency
<br />relationships to derive the damage-frequency relationships. The
<br />total estimated average annual monetary flood damage under preproject
<br />conditions of development is $1,744,800 (June 1967 prices) as sum-
<br />marized in Table 4-13. This is reduced by $499,500 to $1,245,300
<br />by Pueblo Dam and Reservoir, as indicated by Table 4-l2. The
<br />discharge-damage relationship curves are shown on Plates 4-l3
<br />through 4-22.
