<br />.. <br /> <br />APPEKDIX A <br /> <br />GROUNDHATER CONDITIONS IN THE COLORADO RIVER DELTA AREA, <br />UNITED STATES ili'lD HEXICO <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />The purpose of this report is to present a brief resume <br />of ground~ater conditions in the Colorado River Delta Area in <br />United States and Nexico. This resume is divided into two <br />major parts: 1) Description of physical conditions on the charac- <br />ter of the subsurface materials; occurrence of ground\mter; and <br />the hydrological conditions, including significant changes that <br />have been imposed on the natural systems by man's activities. <br />2) A prediction analysis on the changes that probably would occur <br />by the various pumping regimens which have been initiated in <br />United States and Mexico in the last half of 1972, and the pro- <br />posed pumping regimens in future years; lvhich are under con- <br />sideration by United States and Nexico. ./ <br /> <br />, <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />, <br /> <br />The information presented in this report was drawn from <br />i <br />published reports and internal data obtained from the <br />U.S. Geological Survey and Yuma Projects Office, Bureau of <br />Reclamation.
