Article V of the Upper Basin <br />Compact makes provision for the charging among the States of losses <br />from existing and future reservoirs located within the Upper Colorado <br />River Basin. <br /> <br />Colorado River Storage Project Act <br /> <br /> <br />In 1956 the Congress enacted the Colorado River Storage Project Act <br /> <br /> <br />(70 Stat. 105). This act authorized the construction of a comprehensive, <br /> <br /> <br />multiple-purpose, basinwide water resources development plan known as <br /> <br /> <br />the Colorado River Storage Project and Part ic ips ting Projects.
