<br />'ao 1 a 2 ~ <br /> <br />SUMMARY OF CRAIGS ACTIONS TO HELP ITSELF <br /> <br />Passed 2% sales tax - Became effective this Summer and is expected <br />to produce $150,000 in Criag's current budget. <br /> <br />Has kept it's water and sewer systems in good condition up to this point. <br /> <br />Has formed the "Front End Financing Committee" ~Ihich included city, <br />county, and industrial representatives. <br /> <br />$750,000 Loan from FmHA for a 40 unit housing project. <br /> <br />Requested and is in the process of receiving Oil Shale Lease Funds: <br />$68,000 - Temporary student Housing, $180,000 - Purchase of 40 acre <br />high school site, $421,000 - Expansion of elementary school by 250 students. <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />SOME AREAS WHERE TOWN MIGHT TAKE ADDITIONAL ACTION <br /> <br />Use the $250,000 Title IX Water Supply Loan (would require a pay <br />back method that would require increases in water tap fees (currently $250) <br /> <br />Increase water rate (currently $4/month) <br /> <br />Use the $150,000 Title IX Storm Sewer Loan <br />Increase Monthly Sewer Rate (currently $2/month) <br />Try another school bond issue. One failed this fall for $9,000,000.00 <br /> <br />- . <br />
