The Bureau of <br />Reclamation has acknowledged this required re- <br />lease rate, having informed the Board by a letter <br />dated June 9, 1967, that it will provide for a <br />flow of 8,800,000 acre-feet a year at Lee Ferry <br />from 1969 through 1972. <br />Section 602 of P.L. 90-537 provides that the <br />Secretary of the Interior shall adopt, by July 1, <br />1970, criteria for the coordinated long-range <br />operation of the major reservoirs in the Colorado <br />River Basin. The criteria shall comply with the <br />provisions of the Colorado River Compact, the <br />Upper Colorado River Basin Compact, and the <br />Mexican Water Treaty.
