Quadrangles compiled were southeast of Alturas and just north of the Mexican border a bout 40 miles eastof'San Diego. Quadrangles published were near Salton Sea, San Bernardino, north of Los Angeles. Tulare' County, along the Calif.-Nev. borders from Death Valley to Mono Lake, north of Yosemite Lake, Sacramento Valley and in Shasta County. NEVADA Authorized - 32 Controlled - 60 Compiled - 27 Published - 14 Thirty-two quadrangles in the Nevada Test Site area northwest of Las Vegas were authorized. Twenty-'eight of these quadrangles and another group of 32 south of Winnemucca and Battle Mountain were controlled. Quadrangles compiled were near Austin, Las Vegas, Tonopah, and north ofWinnemucca. Maps were published of areas near Elko, Reno, Mono Lake, and Las Vegas. NEW MEXICO No new authorizations were issued in this portion of the PSF Committee Region during this period. Control surveys on the Thoreau Project have been resumed. Compilation was started on the six quadrangles of the Cabezon-Chaco Project which fall within thePSFC area of interest.
