The Chairman announced that due to the resignat,10n of I-lr. C. H. <br />Hoper as City Manager of Colorado Springs, he will no longer represent <br />that City on the Committee and that whoever the City appoints to repre- <br />sent it will be acceptable and welcome to the Committee. The Secretary <br />was instructed to notify formally the City of Colorado Springs. <br /> <br />Municipal and Domestic Uses of Water (Item a of Agenda). <br /> <br />5. Mr. Christy read and submitted for the record a letter dated <br />July 13, 1949, copy of .mich is attached to these minutes, from the City <br />of Pueblo to Messrs. Christy and Beise as the East Slope representatives <br />of the Committee, informing them that the City will need from 15,000 to <br />20,000 acre-feet additional water supply to provide for its present ex- <br />panding requirements for the future growth of the city within the next <br />fifteen or twentJ- years. He explained how the City had been acquiring <br />old irrigation water rights, such as the Wurtz Ditch which was acquired <br />some ten years ago, and had been attempting recently to transfer early <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />3 <br />
