In addition, it will propose funding
priorities for programs and projects in the regional plan, assist
in keeping State officials abreast of emerging Federal
environmental programs and environmental issues which affect the
Basin, and review environmental impact statements on plan
elements and other major Federal action for consistency with the
regional plan and this environmental impact statement. In future
planning activities, the Commission expects to provide for the
consideration of alternative plans and to increase efforts to
quantitatively evaluate cumulative effects of the regional plan.
Under the Water Resources Planning Act of 1965, the Commission is
not an implementation agency.

LIS'!' 01' PIlBPARBIIS

The environmental data in this appendix are largely based
upon analysis prepared by the Missouri River Basin Commission
staff.
