The Department of Agriculture's "Rural Clean <br />Water Program," recommended basinwide, will further aid in <br />control of agricultural nonpoint source pollution. <br /> <br />Supply of adequate municipal, industrial, and rural domestic <br />water is addressed by plan elements recommended both basinwide <br />and specifically. for the Kansas Subbasin. The Farmers Home <br />Administration is recommended to pa~ticipate with State and local <br />entities in carrying out the program "Rural Water Supply and <br />Waste Disposal Systems." Also recommended is construction of the <br />water supply component of the existing Kanapolis Unit, a <br />multipurpose impoundment on the Smoky Hill River. The city of <br />Salina will benefit from the project. <br />
