Is that appropriate? <br />Do 100 backpackers. hiken and rock climbers have <br />m.lnimal detrimental effects on tbe land, but 100 visitor! who <br />stay In parks and lodges use restaurant! and gas stations <br />bave II terrible environmental effect? <br />Snowmobiles are bad use of the park, but mowshoes are <br />good, <br />Car! may well be the pox and destruction 01 the parks, <br />just 8S tbey afe of the cities, with the congestion they cause <br />In traffic jams and the ever-growing amount of earth that <br />must be black-topped for their parking. Does thi~ mean we <br />should han all but a few cars from the parks, to save the <br />natura] environment? <br />11 you think you're concerned about the environment and <br />conservation, you may well be tempted to say "ye.~" to all <br />these.
