<br />The Workers <br /> <br />Dolores Project <br /> <br />They came to build a dam. Some <br />were men and some W('IrnfOn. They <br />came from all over the country and <br />they came out of the Dolores <br />community. <br />For some their lives consist of <br />following project to project. ^ car- <br />penler, maybe six month., until the <br />work is done and then on to SOl"I'lE.'place <br />else. An electrician, maybe a year; a <br />truck dri\l'ef, maybe the whole project. <br />They filled the rental houses in <br />Dolores. They populated the trailer <br />oourts. And some even li~ in the <br />camper on the back of their pickup <br />truck, <br />Some even staved on.
