The major' com-
ponents of this study are delineated in the 1975 Assessment Plan of
Study (Enclosure A) .

I would bring your attention to the section of the Plan of Study which
describes the Specific Problem Analysis. This analysis will develop
for each of 21 Water Resources Regions a regional report which articu-
lates the State/regional viewpoint concerning water related problems
and which identifies and places into a priority structure the need to
resolve water problems within each of the regions.

As each regional report is intended to fully reflect both State and regional
viewpoints, you may want to bring your interests to bear on the assess-
. ment activities in your region. Accordingly, I have enclosed a listing
which identifies the agencies which will lead assessment activities among
the regions (Enclosure B).

GR CULTURE" ARMY- HEALTH EDUCATION AND WELFARE: TRANSPORTATION;
MEMBERS: SECRETARIES OF INTERIOR; A I IAn~ MEMBERS- SECRETARIES OF COMMERCE; HOUSING AND URBAN
CHAIRMAN, FEDERAL POWERO~O~~~~~60NN~~~;~~ROTECTION AGENCY _ OBSERVERS: DIRECTOR, OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT
DEVELOPMENT; ADMINISTRAGT ENERAL: CHAIRMEN _ COUNCIL ON ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY, RIVER BASIN COMMISSIONS
AND BUDGET; A~TORNEY

~y;:."'N.q~1<
!'~""
~ ~
~1- ~,f
~NH1\.~
