The April 1 forecast of available imports for April through July
was 32,400 acre-feet.

The following minimum bypass requirements at the various diversion points
were used during the 1990 operation:

Diversion Doint

Minimum bypass
reauirement
(ft'/s)
12
6
3
o
o
2
1
1
o
2
12
5
4
2
1
o

Fryingpan River
South Fork
Chapman Gulch
Sawyer Lake Creek
Li ly Pad Creek
Ivanhoe Creek
Middle Cunningham Creek
North Cunningham Creek
South Cunningham Creek
Mormon Creek
Hunter Creek
Midway Creek
No Name Creek
Carter Creek
North Fork Creek
Granite Creek

In addition to the minimum bypass requirements at each of these sites, a
minimum flow requirement must be met on the Fryingpan River at Thomasville
River gaging station as specified in the Operating Principles. This minimum
requirement is as follows: April - 100 ft3/s, May - 150 ft3/s, June -
200 ft3/s, July - 100 ft3/s, August - 75 ft3/s, and September - 70 ft3/s or
the natural flow, whichever is less.

When it appears that these flows will not be met, the diversions into the
Project system are decreased or stopped, whichever is necessary to meet the
bypass requirements. The Hunter Creek System, which drains into the Roaring
Fork River, can continue diverting water into Boustead Tunnel during these
times.

Exhibit 4 shows the daily flows at the Thomasville River gaging station and
the average daily minimum flow requirements during the period of diversions
from the Fryingpan River.

C. Proiect Diversions

The water year 1990 outlook (table 14, AOP, WY 1989-1990) used a
projected Project diversion of 36,200 acre-feet for the reasonable minimum
runoff condition. The March 1, April 1, and May 1 forecasts, based on Soil
Conservation Service snow course data, projected available most probable
diversions of 38,660 acre-feet, 32,400 acre-feet, and 41,600 acre-feet,
respectively.

15
