This request was accompanied by a <br />biological assessment (BR, 1984a) which addresses impacts of this proposed <br />action to federally listed endangered species. Four extensions of time for <br />the consultation were requested, and were agreed to by FWS and the BR. This <br />opinion has been prepared as prescribed in the Section 7 Interagency <br />Cooperation Regulations, 50 CFR 402, and the ESA, 16 U.S.C. 1531 et ~. <br /> <br />The focus of this biological opinion is on impacts of your proposed Federal <br />action (described below) on the currently occupied habitat of federally <br />endangered Colorado River fishes. FWS has agreed with your biological <br />assessment's determination of "no effect" on the bald eagle (Haliaeetus <br />leucocephalus) and peregrine falcon (Falco peregrinus). ----- <br /> <br />This biological opinion analyzes only the water depletion impacts to listed <br />fishes as a result of the proposed water sale. However, there may be impacts <br />to listed species, yet unforeseen, which result from development secondary to <br />your Federal action. For example, expanded development related to the <br />
