1409

The Amity Mutual Irrigation Company

in the past few years, Jewell Seufer made a motion that the
change, as printed in the notice, and attached hereto, be
accepted. Calvin Stalford seconded. A voice vote was taken
and the motion passed unaminously.
Article of the 5th was then discussed. The original was
read, and it was discussed that most of the change was just in
clean up language to make the article coincide with the By-Law
changes. Calvin Sta/ford made a motion to change the Article
of the 5th as printed in the notice and attached hereto. Leonard
Rink seconded. A ballot vote was taken:
Results: Yes .................. . . . . . . . . . . . .27,995.56
No ................... ............ 4,159.33
Motion carried.

~

The change in the By-Law that was printed on Page 6 of
the Annual report was then discussed. Paul Frank made a
motion to pass as printed with the change in the last sentence
of the first paragraph of Section 5 to read: "The distribution of
all water available for the uses and purposes of the
stockholders of the Company to the stockholders to be based
upon the rights of the stockholders for the irrigation of crops
and the supply of water available for distribution among the
stockholders forthat purpose." Brad Nevius seconded. A voice
vote was taken and passed unaminously.
The question was then asked when water was wanted.
Clifford Verhoeff made a motion that water be started April 4,
1988, weather permitting. Leo Pollart seconded. Motion
carried.
Paul Frank asked for stockholder imput on the Aries
purchase of water and the Trinidad Dam. Some discussion
followed, with the consensus for the board to use their own
judgement.
Nominations were then taken for the Director from the
Lamar Division. Ken Smartt nominated Paul Pierson, Jim
Rogers seconded. As there were no other nominations, a voice
vote was taken. Paul was elected unaminously.
Nominations were then taken for the Director for the
Buffalo Division.
