The mean annual temperature is 52 de- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />grees, ranging from 26 degrees b8lo", ZOl'O to 99 degrees above. <br /> <br />This climate is adupted to the growing of all crops common to the <br /> <br />area consisting, in tho main, of alfolfa, wheat, corn, dry beems, nnil <br /> <br /> <br />sugar beets, as well as garden truck. Gen8rallJ, irrigated lauds <br /> <br /> <br />are similarly adapted, although somo areas are of a heavy clay soil <br /> <br /> <br />and subsoil whi.ch become seeped and alkaline with the continued <br /> <br /> <br />application of water.
