.

.

.

3101

The dam and reservoir are located on the edge of the seismically
stable, central interior United States. No major earthquakes
registering above intensities of VI on the Richter Scale have
been recorded in Colorado. The filling of Pueblo Reservoir
could result in nonconsequential microseismic tremors; this has
been proven in other large reservoirs. The extent of these
microseismic tremors is known through the use of highly sensitive
seismographs.

Advisorv Council on Historic Preservation

In accordance with the Advisory Council's request we revised
the final statement to contain (1) a statement indicating that
consultation with the National Register of Historic Places
appears in paragraph "g" on page 28; (2) evidence of contact
with the Historic Preservation Officer for the State of
Colorado is included as Attachment 15 in this statement.

The State Historical Society of Colorado's March 7, 1972,
letter is not a comment but was furnished in response to our
request for'documentation.
