2 ,COLORADO RIVER STORAGE PROJECT as they would have obtained from Lake Mead operating at the rated head elevation ~f 1,123 feet. Section 6 of ,the authorizing act stipulated that, on January 1 of each year, the Secretary of the Interior shall report to Congress for the previous fiscal year: (1) Status of revenues from; and (2) Cost of constructing, operatingl and maintainin~ the Colo- rado River, storage project and participating projects (hereinafter referred to, as the "proJect"). The report is: to be prepared so as to reflect accurately the- (3) Fed~ral investment allocated at that time to power, to irrigation, imd to other purposes; (4) Pro~ress of return and repayment thereon; and (5) Estitnated rate of progress, year by year, in accomplishing full repayment. Because of the nature of project activities during the fiscal year, this eighth amiual report deals primarily with construction progress to June 30,1964, and only limited comments are furnished with respect to the remaining items required to be reported upon. i L STATUS OF REVENUES , The source of revenues received to date and the disposition of these revenues is refl~cted in, the following tabulation: ! COST OF CONSTRUCTING, OPERATING, AND MAINTAINING THE PROJECT The cost of Qonstructing the project to June 30, 1964, is,reflected in the following attached financial exhibits: 0 Exhibit A-Comparative balance sheets lit June 30, 1964, and June 30, 1963. ; Exhibit B-St~tement of source and application of funds and other credits as of!June 30, 1964. Exhibit A sets forth comparatively the financial condition of the project at Jun~ 30, 1964, and June 30, 1963. The cumulative funds and other credits available to the project at June 30, 1964, and the manner in which such funds and credits were used or applied are set forth on exhibit B. ' ,
