STONE <br /> <br />(Adopted October 28, 1952) <br /> <br />***** <br /> <br />In the untimely and unexpected passing of Judge Clifford H. Stone, <br />Director of the Colorado Water Conservation Board, the Arkansas <br />River Compact Administration has lost a valued and esteemed member, <br />who was recognized as an authority on water and as a conservation <br />leader on local, state, regional, national and international levels. <br />Judge Stone, who has scrv~d on this Administration since it WllS <br />established in 1949, wntributcJ immL.nscly from hi~ wide experience <br />and knO\\.'lcdgc, to the solution of difficult prohlems ",,'hien have con- <br />fronted this Administration. All ffit'mbt'r-; uf this Aclmini~tration re-c' <br />ognize and appreciate the extraorJinary understanding ~md patience <br />which Judge Stone contributed to their deliberations. <br />In the \'\'ork of this Administration, as well as in all of his other <br />associations and contacts, Judg~ Stone was a painstaking, conscientious, <br />and tireless worker, who sacrificed his own time and weIl~bcing for <br />the common good of all. <br />The Administration deeply mourns the passing of Judge Stone, <br />whose devotion to duty and responsibility symbolized every high quali. <br />fication for public service. <br />Now therefore, be it resolved by the Arkansas River Compact <br />Administration that this statement be placed upon the record, and a <br />copy be sent to Judge Stonc's family; to the Colorado Water Conserva- <br />tion Board; and to the Governor of Colorado. <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />,- <br />I <br />
