My main focus was on comparing the
allocation of expenses to existing budget categories. I have only the following minor suggestions
for the Itemized Category Report,

1, Income, payment of assessments should reflect both a regular and special assessment this
year even if the states lumped the two charges into a single payment.

2. Expenses - Annual Report should reflect that this was a partial payment for typesetting the
1989 report,

3, Legal fees, if possible include the billing period covered by each AReA payment.

4. We do not have a category for "other expense" where you have placed the $18 bank
charges. I suggest you report these under "postage/office supplies", putting that category
total at $418, We then should revise future budget categories to reflect the lump sum
payment by ARCA to LA WMA for "postage, copying, office supplies" and create a new
category "incidental office expense"

5, On the USGS payments I'd note that one was to Colorado District and the other to Kansas
District.

With the concise, clear report you've prepared and these few changes the FY 94-95 Audit
should be easy to review and utilize as we prepare future budgets, Thanks for getting the process
off to a good start,

SM/lm

higbeeOl.mem (AReA)
