The underlined practices are some <br />of the practices eligible for participation under a 70 percent <br />federal and 30 percent local cost-share program. <br /> <br />2) The voluntary replacement of wildlife habitat onfarm by <br />individual landowners with a 70 percent federal and 30 percent <br />local cost-share program. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />The 30 percent local cost share for installation of salinity <br />control measures and voluntary replacement of fish and wildlife <br />habitat values can be in the form of either a cash or noncash <br />contribution. Noncash contributions can be in the form of a <br />participant's own equipment, his labor, other labor and <br />equipment sources, or needed materials that meet required <br />specifications. <br /> <br />This opportunity can be used by the participant to reduce or <br />eliminate his actual cash outlay for implementing practices in <br />his contract for salinity reduction and wildlife habitat <br />replacement. <br /> <br />:<!, <br /> <br />3) The voluntary replacement of fish and wildlife habitats off-farm <br />by the Eden Valley Irrigation and Drainage District with a <br />70 percent federal and 30 percent local cost-share program. <br /> <br />4) The operation of the Big Sandy and Eden Reservoirs by the Eden <br />Valley Irrigation and Drainage District (improvement of fish and <br />wildlife habitats). <br /> <br />,-- <br />~j <br />{,~ <br /> <br />5) The implementation of waterfowl development potentials in the <br />area by the WGFD, BLM, and private wildlife organizations (new <br />and improved wildlife habitat). Cost sharing will be available <br />for nonfederal entities. <br /> <br />The Interagency Wetland Habitat Development Committee for the <br />Eden-Farson area, of which SCS is a member, has identified <br />several private and governmental sources of potential funding <br />and technical assistance to implement wetland developments and <br />enhancements.
