<br />Location.--Water-stage recorder, lat 36"58'56", long- 106"04'23", in New Mexico on line between
<br />sees. 26 and 27, T. 32 N., R. 8 E., on left bank 0.9 mile south of New Mexico-Colorado State line,
<br />2.1 miles southwest of Ortiz, and 2.9 miles upstream from mouth. Altitude of gage is 8,040 ft.

<br />Drainaqe area.--167 sg mi.
<br />Averaqe discharge.--61 years (1915-20, 1925-79), 119 ft3/s (86,220 acre-ft per year).
<br />Extremes.--1915-20, 1925-79: Maximum discharge, 3,160 ft3/s May 12, 1941 (gage height, 5.77 ft,
<br />site and datum then in use), from rating curve extended above 1,600 ft3/st minimum observed,
<br />4.0 ft3js Dec. 17, 19.45.

<br />Location.--Water-stage recorders lat 37"18'01", long 105"44'47", in sees. 2 and 11 (two channels),
<br />T. 35 N., R. 11 E., on left bank of main channel 125 feet downstream from bridge on State
<br />Highway 158 and on left bank of secondary channel 230 ft upstream from bridge, 1.0 mile upstream
<br />from mouth, and 2.1 miles north of Lasauses. Datum of gage on main channel is 7,495.02 it and
<br />on secondary (south) channel is 7,496.89 ft above mean sea level (levels by Bureau of Reclamation).

<br />Drainaqe area.--887 sq mi.
<br />Averaqe discharqe.--58 years (1922-79) , 180 ft3js (130,400 acre-ft per year).
