A 12 foot road <br />with turn-outs provides acces,s. _ This is a clear-cut area where sp~uce <br />timber ~Ias cut in the late J.9~~s and early 1950's. The area recelves <br />approximately 200 visitor-days of snohwobile and cross-country ski use <br />,--p-er year. <br /> <br />Boundary Description <br /> <br />Be~innin~ at the southern most point of the administration's proposal <br />in Section 3, T. 6 S., R. 79 W., proceed northeasterly along the admini- <br />stration proposal line approximately three-fourths mile, thence easterly <br />to the Uneva Bench Mark, identified with an elevation of 12,535 feet, <br />thence southerly alonq the Suw.mit County - Eagle County line approximately <br />one-half mile, thence southeasterly along the ridge approximately one- <br />half mile to a pojnt identified with an elevation of 12,370 feet, thence <br />south southwesterly along the ridge to a point identified with an eleva- <br />tion of 11,968 feet, thence south southeasterly along the ridge to a <br />point separating two springs flowing into the Officers Gulch and ~est <br />Ten Mile Creek drainaoes, thence southeasterly approximately one-half <br />mile alon., the major ridge, thence southwesterly along a minor ridge to <br />the Senate reported bou~~ary. <br /> <br />Acrealle ChaMe <br /> <br />1440 acres National Forest deleted <br /> <br />110 acres Private land deleted <br /> <br />1014 <br />
