<br />The Amity Mutual Irrigation Company <br /> <br />'I <br />I <br />J <br />I <br />/ <br />~ <br />; <br />l <br /> <br />.'l <br />, <br />.. <br /> <br />J <br />I <br /> <br />i <br />, <br />i <br /> <br />1141 <br /> <br />The report of the Assessment Committee was: <br />"WE, the Committee on Assessments, do recommend the levy <br />immediately of the following assessments: <br /> <br />An assessment of $3.00 per share, payable as follows: $1.50 due <br />April I, 1973 and delinquent May I, 1973. $1.50 due September.l, 1973 and <br />delinquent October I, 1973. <br /> <br />Special assessment of $.50 per share payable as follows: $.50 <br />due Aprill, 1973 and delinquent May 1, 1973. <br /> <br />This committee recommends the passing oC the following resolution: <br /> <br />"BE IT RESOLVED, that the Stockholders authorize the Board of <br />Directors to borrow from the Wichita Bank for Cooperatives, or any <br />other bank, Cunds necessary to take care or any major damage or emergencies <br />on the ditches or structures of the system caused by Cloods, or for any <br />other reason unforeseen to us, you, the committee and the stockholders." <br /> <br />The report was adopted unanimously as read. <br /> <br />The Resolution Committee reported as follows: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />"BE IT RESOLVED, that the Stockholders of the AmitJ' Mutual Irrigation <br />Company do extend our most sincere sympathies to the families and <br />relatives of Primo Borelli, Addie Gerard and Leona Balderston who have <br />become deceased the past year. <br />We have enjoyed working with these, our members, as coworkers for <br />our system and in our community and their contributions to their communities <br />will be forever remembered. <br />Be it further resolved, that copies of this resolution shall be given to the <br />newspapers and sent to their families as a token of our respect." <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />"BE IT RESOLVED, that the Stockholders of the Amity Mutual Irrigation <br />Company do hereby restate and reaffirm their opposition to the creation <br />of a permanent pool in John Martin Reservoir, and do oppose any and all <br />pending or proposed legislation calculated to create such a pool and do <br />authorize the Officers and Directors of the Company 10 cooperate Cully with <br />other ditches, water users and other like minded parties, in opposing said <br />pool and said legislation." <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />"WHEftEAS, pursuant to the terms of the decree in the certain sult in <br />Bent County, Colorado in which the Fort Lyon Canal Company "'88 Pla1ntUf <br />and the .Amfty Mutuarlrriga~ol! ~~~~~~~f~dintl the teims.tilerial <br />, proved that the rates of division of the expenses should remain at the alDOUDU <br />fixed by said decree Until November Is', 1973 aDd whereas DO addlllimd <br />regular rn.elioi\ or !he ~1Dc""olderB will occur between now IUld sa1lI ~: <br />PI <br />
