<br />Location.--Water-stage recorder, lat 37004'42", long 105045122", in sec. 22, T. 33 N., R. 11 E., on
<br />right bank just downstream from highway bridge, 6 miles north of Colorado-New Mexico State line,
<br />10 miles east of LObatos, and 14 miles east of Antonito. Datum of gage is 7,427.63 ft above
<br />mean sea level, datum 1929.

<br />Location.--Water-stage recorder, lat 36044'33", long 106037'34", in Tierra Amaril1a Grant, on right
<br />bank 200 ft downstream from bridge, 0.2 mile downstream from Iron Spring Creek, 3.3 miles west
<br />of Los Ojos, and at mile 9.7. Datum of gage is 7,196.29 ft above mean sea level. Prior to
<br />Apr. 1, 1971, at site 900 ft downstream.

<br />Drainage area.--112 sq mi.
<br />Average discharge.--7 years (1963-69) 11.5 ft3/s (8,330 acre-ft per year) prior to completion of
<br />Azotea tunnel; 12 years (1970-81) 129 ft3/s (93,460 acre-ft per year) subsequent to completion
<br />of Azotea tunnel.

<br />Extremes.--1962-81: Maximum discharge, 1,600 ft3/s Aug. 11, 1967 (gage height, 3.88 ft); no flow
<br />at times prior to 1971.
