The amount or harvested acres in 1974 were 21.5 million acres. <br />A little under 3 million acres or that land was irrigated. <br />A quick glance at the presentation of the result, will show that figures charts <br />2 and 3 display the groundwater management districts and the economic <br />regions of the state. Each section also shows the counties in it. The ground. <br />water discricts precede the economic regions. Both arc listed in ascending <br />order by region or district number. All of the annual information is then <br />shown for that group of counties. First, a map of the region or district is <br />presentcd. The second item is a chart which tabulates the total and average <br />calculated rigures by rcgion or district for a six year period. At the bottom <br />of the chart is a list of the counties in this group. Next is a graph which <br />shows the calculated results for the average yield differentials, average <br />earnings dry land , and average irrigation earnings for each year in the six <br />year period for each district or region. <br /> <br />17 <br />
