Lyon Canal should be assessed, <br /> <br />define the appropriate area of economic influence for further <br />evaluation <br /> <br />determine the significance of production under the Ft, Lyon Canal <br />to local, regional, and statewide economies <br /> <br />agricultural/non agricultural; determine and estimate in dollars the <br />interrelationship between crop production, other agri-business and <br />remaining local economy <br /> <br />estimate the investment in agriculture including crop land inventory <br />and related equipment <br /> <br />describe total employment by sectors in appropriate area <br /> <br />examine local government budgets and tax base, and current tax <br />burdens <br /> <br />describe general or specific trends indicated by analysis <br /> <br />c) Environment, Describe in general terms the existing environment that <br />is directly dependent on, and likely to be impacted by changes to, the <br />operation of the Ft. Lyon Canal, <br /> <br />d) Ft Lyon Water User Survey - as appropriate or necessary, a survey of <br />Ft, Lyon water users or others in the service area might be conducted <br />to assess various factors related to water transfers. . <br /> <br />Description and Evaluation of Alternatives <br /> <br />The following alternatives and others, which may be developed by the <br />consultant in cooperation with the CWCB staff, should be described and <br />screened against a baseline to be established in general detail sufficient to <br />determine whether they represent a viable alternative to traditional transfer <br />methods, <br /> <br />a) Evaluation shall include: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Whether and how the alternative can be structured to provide an <br />improved method(s) of using water available to the Ft.
