It is <br />the residual resulting from a hydrologic balance of Lake POl'Tell <br />inflo\"l, outflO\'T, change in surL'ce stc:'a[!;e, and evaporation. <br />Evaporation and a portion of the inflo"r must be estimated; t:ms, <br />the estimated bank storage is subject to ':ride 7ariation and possible <br />error. The 1973 year-end bank storage in Lake Pouell \"las estimated <br />to be 7.1 maf, representing an increase in bank storage from 1972 <br />of 200, 000 'acre~feet. <br /> <br />Hater Uses <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Colorado River Basin depletions in the Upper Basin are classi- <br />fied by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation as inbasin consumptive uses, <br />trans-basin diversions, and reservoir evaporation.
