Memorandum of Agreement Between Missouri River Basin Commission and the U.S. Water Resources Council Section I. Purpose and Authority The purpose of this Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the U.S. Water Resources Council (WRC) and the Missouri River Basin Commission (MRBC) is to obtain the services and participation of the Missouri River Basin Commission in the Water Resources Council's preparation of the 1975 Assessment of the Nation's Water and Related Land Resources pursuant to Section 102(a) of the Water Resources Planning Act (42 USC 1962 a-l(a)). The specific authority for this MOA is Section 401 (c) of the Water Resources Planning Act, as amended, (42 USC 1962 d (c)). Section II. Basic Agreement The Missouri River Basin Commission, as Regional Sponsor for the 1975 Assessment agrees to perform the activities and deliver the products listed in the attached Schedule A according to the time schedule and completion dates contained therein provided that WRC funds are made available on a timely basis. In return for the performance of these activities, the WRC agrees to pay the Missouri River Basin Commission for the costs incurred in performing the above work, including but not limited to travel, overhead expenses, etc., a total of $286,000 (two hundred and eighty-six thousand dollars). Section III. General Provisions A. The payments specified in Section II above will be paid by quarterly installment in advance against vouchers submitted by the Missouri River Basin Commission certifying that designated portions of the work will be completed within the quarter, and upon acceptance of such certification by the WRC; except that payments to Federal Agencies shall be as noted in Schedule A, Section V, B. ~ ~ ~ ~ B.
