The interchauge, which is to be accomplished without in- <br />creasing the District's costs, wiil tend to increase the firm power <br />output of Bonlder Dam, provide additional sources of power for <br />supplying the District's load and will facilitate the disposal of the <br />District's unnsed firm energy. <br />The District's aliotment, 35.2517% of the firm energy, amounts <br />to 1,514,000,000 kwhr for the Boulder year of operation ending <br />May 31, 1942, which is sufficient to pump approximately 1000 scc- <br />ond feet continuous flow in the Aqueduct. Present forecasts of <br />water requirements indicate that this quantity wili not be needed <br />until 1965. In the meantime a block of firm energy within the <br />District's allotment will be available for resale by the Secretary of <br />the Interior for the credit of the District. S. Bureau of Reciamation and the U, S. Office of Indian <br />Affairs, and a contract, dated November 12, 1940, for use of the <br />transformer and transmission eqnipment of the District. A por- <br />tion of the District's unused Boulder energy will be sold under <br />these contracts pending completion of the Parker power plant, <br />which will provide a permanent supply for the Colorado Rivcr <br />Indian Reservation and otlier customers in that vicinity. A maxi- <br />mum demand of 500 kilowatts is anticipated. <br />Included in the above tabnlation is 128,677,136 kilowatt-hours <br />delivered to the U. S. Government's Parker-Phoenix line for nse by <br />the Salt River Valley Water Users' Association in the vicinity of <br />Phoeuix, Arizoua. The District's transformers at Geue pumping <br />
