Western Water enhsted the help <br />of ~rkeley consultmg enginl"er. B J Miller. a former member of the Stale Water Resources <br />Control Board. who has been researching waler sources throughoul the slate for several <br />years We also got help from OUf graphk anisr, Bnan Duffy. who dl"signed our nev.' California <br />Wale: Map. 10 present all this mformation graphically_ Educational consultants Judy Wheatley <br />and Karen Saunders checleed and rechecleed onginal source matenal and made hundreds of <br />phone calls to venfy mformatlon <br />""estern Water sent questionnalres to water distncts allover the stale asking about their <br />waler sources We recerved excellent cooperation from nearly all the distnCls contacted This <br />issue is our first effort 10 consolidate all the information from many separate places to show <br />water sourct's for Cahfomia's cities and farms <br />Valuable help and finanda] asslstanct' for thls project were contributed by the California <br />Department of Water Resources. the U.s Bureau of Redamallon. Metropolitan Water OistnCl <br />of Southern Califomm. and Easl Bay Murucipal Utility Distnct.
