Fryingpan
River Diversion would make 47,200 acrc~feet per year, for the period
1930-1941, available for uSe by wnter users of the Arkansas River
Bnsin.

The long term, 1911-1944 average annual divertible flow for Fry-
ingpan River Diversion would be 64,600 acre-feet per year as shown in
table 3.59,600 acre-feet per year would be available for Arkansas
River Valley use after deducting tho 5,000 acre-feet per year reserved
for Busk-Ivanhoe Tunnel interests.

Water would be diverted by the Fryingpan River Diversion only when
the existing and potential demands of the Western Slope water users have
been fully met. Investigations indic~te that the present plan of devel~
opment for Fr.yingpan River_Diversion could be operated within these limi-
tations. It woo,ld be necessary to provide replacement storaGe on the
VIe stern Slope in order 'to as sure an adequate "1Clter "supply 'for 'WostGrn
Slope interests whon stre'lmflow is at a minimum during the late' summer
months. Replacement stor~Ee would be provided by the poten~ial Gunnison-
Arkans'ls Project or in conjunction with other existing or potential
Bureau of Reclam~tion projects diverting water from the %stern Slopc
in Colorado. Replacement could be mado for stre~ deplotions adverse
to diversion rights on tho Colorado River at a potential resorvoir near
Ruedi on the Fryingpan River or by the potential Bridgeport Reservoir
on the Gunnison Rivor, 10 miles above its mouth, and diversion to the
Color~do River in the vicinity of Palisade.

Table4 shows the remaining flow of the Fryingpan River and North
Fork Fryingpan Rivor at/near Norrie aftBr diversions by the Fryingpan
Divi sd.on.

16
