<br />II <br />, <br /> <br />, <br />< <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />,) <br /> <br />SU\l1ll1ary Sheets <br /> <br />DALLAS CREEK PROJECT, OOLORADO <br /> <br />LOCATION: West-central Colorado near the town of Ridgway, Coloradq and <br />along the headwaters of the Uncompahgre River and its tri- <br />butaries in Montrose and Ouray Counties. <br /> <br />~: <br /> <br />The multi-purpose project would provide storage for flood control, <br />recreation, fishery, water quality control, municipal water and the <br />irrigation of ~ acres of supplemental service land and ~ <br />acres of full 6Wifce lands. Principle features of the pr<>j~~"~e: <br />Dallas Feeder Canal, which collects the surplus flows of the tri- <br />butaries of Dallas Creek for storage in the potential Dallas Divide <br />Reservoir; Log Hill Mesa Canal, to convey water from Dallas Divide <br />Reservoir to project lands on Upper Log Hill Mesa; Ridgway Reservoir, <br />near the intersection of the Uncompahgre River and Dallas Creek to <br />provide storage for flood control, municipal water, and irrigation <br />water to be pumped to Lower Log Hill Mesa and distr1.buted by the <br />McKenzie Canal; Cow Creek Feeder would be constructed from Cow <br />Creek to Ridgway Reservoir to provide the reservoir with an 4dditional <br />source of water; Sneva Reservoir, an off-stream site between Cow <br />Creek and Dry Creek, woulcl. be built so aa to supply tbe presently <br />irrigated lands in the Cow Creek area with a full water supply. <br />Also a portion of the water stored in Dallas Divide Reservoir would <br />be released to the Pleasant Valley Canal to supplement the water <br />supply for presently irrigated lands in the Pleasant Valley and Dallas <br />Creek areas. <br /> <br />OOSTS: <br /> <br />Construction Costs (Final costs are not yet available, tentative <br />costs are as follows:) <br /> <br />Reservoirs <br />Dallas Divide . . . . . . . . <br />Ridgway . . . . . . . . <br />Sneva ..
