Homestake Project maintained their contracted storage
space at approximately 28,000 acre-feet by importing approximately
10,430 acre-feet of water through the Homestake Tunnel. In addition to
the Homestake imports, Busk-Ivanhoe imported approximately 9,700 acre-
feet of water through the Carlton Tun~el throughout the year and 200
acre-feet through Boustead Tunnel durin~ July, of which 4,950 acre-feet
was stored for the High Line Canal ~ompany. The project imported
107,630 acre-feet of water through the Charles H. Boustead Tunnel
during May through September. I

Releases through Sugar Loaf Dam were made as outl ined in last year's
Annual Operating Plan, except additional releases had to be made into
Lake Fork Creek due to the conduit being at capacity from April 16
through September 4. '

Turquoise Lake storage exceeded the toplof active conservation capacity
from July 9 through July 11 and from August 19 through August 22 and
remained at near capacity through Sept~mber 30. Exhibits 4 and 5 show
the precipitation and pan evaporation' at Turquoise Lake. The water
year ended with a content of 127,770 acre-feet in storage. Imports
through Boustead Tunnel were reduced for a short period due to the
restrictions of the 200 ft3/s release rate in Lake Fork below Sugar
Loaf Dam at the county road 5 crossing.,

The installation of a new gaging station bn Lake Fork Creek above Turquoise
Lake was completed and put in service in water year 1984. Measurements have
been recorded and a rating table will be developed in the near future.
,

Table 4 and exhibit 6 show the operation of Turquoise Lake during water year
1983.

.

D.

Halfmoon Creek Diversion

i

Halfmoon Creek diversion was inloperation and diverted water into
the Mt.
