The records for July

were taken from the daily reports of the A.V.D.A. ~nu, hence, the figures

above quoted are subject to slight corrections.
~
Since it appeaPll' from the records th"t deliveries to Kansas, up
,)

to July 9th, were somewhat ahead of diversions by Colorado ditches, we

directed that further deliveries of water at the State line, other than

the amount of seepage and return flow, be discontinued from July 9th to

August 1st. This was later approved by Mr. Y.nap;>.

Assuming that the division of water between Colorado ditches,

both above and below Caddoa reservoir, and deliveries of water to Kansas,

should be based upon historic diversions and deliveries, the record as

of July 16th disclosed that the uses of water in both States were practically

,
in balance. : The records of diversions and deliveries to July 51st, however, 1
"-

disclose that decrease in stream flow above the reservoir has thrown the

total uses below the reservoir off balance to the amount of 2576 acre feet

in favor of Kansas, and, as between both States, nearly 10,000 acre feet.

\.

~ \. ,.

This is equivalent to an error of 1.8 percent in uses belor.
