After years of intensive
study ~nd IIater development planning, the pattern of the ul-

tin;ate' di version of water to Eastern Colorado is now well de-

fined. The original system of high elevation open ditches and
canals has been suppler,;ented by a system of tunnels with asso-
ciated'water diversion facilities designed for the interception

and diversion of the available runoff of the r.:ain Colorado River
and tributaries above Granby, ;iilloh' Creek and tributaries, the
Fraser ,Ri ver and tributaries, the \1illian';s Fork River and tri b-

utaries and the Blue River and tributaries.

'.'later runoff and water diversion records on these

streams have been analyzed to show the amcunt of water diverted

historically, the amount of liSter divertable after completion

13

J
