It expected that
releases will remain near the 800 cfs level for the rest of winter.
The forecasted inflow combined with these releases will draw the
reservoir down to minimum power pool (6463.4 feet) by the beginning
of the 1995 runoff season.

~LAMXHQ GORGB - In water year 1995, Flaming Goige is again being
operated in compliance with the Final BiolO9ical Opinion for the
operation of Flaming Gorge Dam (FBOFGD). Releases this winter
season will be according to recommendations made by the Flaming
Gorge Research Group. The group's recommendations are as follows.

All releases from Flaming Gorge this winter season will be steady
with no hour to hour fluctuations. During the month of December,
releases were steady at 1200 cfs. Releases are currently still at
a steady 1200 cfs. Once an ice cap forms on the Green River near
Jensen, releases will be decreased to 1000 cts. February releases
will be steady at 1000 cfs. Researchers may request that some
fluctuating releases be made in March to study the breakup of ice
on the Green River.

The minimum flow criteria of 800 cfs at Flaming Gorge will continue
to be strictly adhered to at all times during the year.

ABPXHALL - December inflow was about average (98 percent) The
precipitation was below average (76 percent).

Releases from Crystal are currently 750 cfs and there are no
diversions through the Gunnison tunnel. The storage at Blue Mesa
at the end of December was 579,300 at elevation 7489.77. This was

DIA II
SC vi
ASC
F
I
L
E
