Criteria have been <br />established that would allow these flows to be exceeded for short <br />periods during emergency situations. The test of interim flows <br />will not interfere with water deliveries, pursuant to interstate <br />compacts and other applicable laws. <br /> <br />The Bureau of Reclamation is the lead agency of a <br />cooperative effort to produce the GCDEIS. The cooperating <br />agencies include (Department of the Interior) U.S. Fish and <br />Wildlife Service, National Park Service and Bureau of Indian <br />Affairs; (Department of Energy) Western Area Power <br />Administration; (State of Arizona) Arizona Game and Fish <br />Department; The Navajo Nation; and the Hopi, Havasupai, and <br />Hualapai Tribes. <br /> <br />Work on the GCDEIS is progressing.
