The purpose of the work plan is to <br />improve the planning process, to increase staff involvement In setting program goals, and to <br />provide an accountability mechanism whereby' programs can be evaluated. The work plan also <br />provides a useful tool for personnel evaluation of management and technical staff. <br /> <br />All OIlP programs followed a required or basic planning protocol consisting of nine action <br />steps. In addition, the planning process was ent~nced for some programs. The expanded <br />approach builds on previous AWP documents and reflects current health planning methodologies <br />suggested by the Centers for Disease Control lIealth AnalysJ,s and Planning Branch. The Air <br />Pollution Control Division and Air Quality Control Commission used the expanded approach. <br /> <br />TIle 1984-65 Annual Work Plan covers the period July 1, 1984 to June 30, 1985. Resource <br />allocations include state, cash fund, and federal funding. The funding categories include all <br />expenses: personnel, operating costs, travel expenses, contracts, and capital equipment. OUP <br />support of the Laboratory and ADP is reflected in dollars but not in PTEfs. <br /> <br />The &\oual Work Plan is grouped by division and includes: Air Pollution Control, Consumer <br />Protection, DIsease Control and Epidemiology, Radiation Control, Waste Management, Water Quality <br />Control divisions, the Air and Water Quality Control commissions, and the Office of lIealth <br />protection's central staff. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />_.. <br /> <br />~. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />LGTT <br />
