USGS RELEASES GROUND.WATER REPORT The USGS recently released a report, -Regional Ground. Water Evapotranspiration and Ground.Water Budgets, Great Basin, Nevada,. by William D. Nichols. The recent study by the U5GSlndicates that ground-water availability in a l6-valley area of eastern Nevada may be considerably greater than previously thought. The study used updated methods, technologies, and data to revise the results of earlier investigations that were based on approaches dating from more than 60 years ago.
