<br />-. <br />Report Standards <br /> <br />. The 2004 SCORE Report will be a USGS technical <br />report held to USGS peer review and publication <br />standards <br />. To ensure scientific independence, each chapter's <br />lead author is a USGS scientist <br />. A Ph.D..level expert will oversee writing effort for <br />each chapter <br />. The report will cover only those research issues for <br />which USGS has relevant data and/or expertise <br />. Trend data will go back as far as necessary to <br />establish a baseline or to the point at which data is <br />scientifically credible <br /> <br />:'iUSGS <br /> <br />USGS Peer Review Process <br /> <br />. Policy review by USGS Southwest Biological Science <br />Center (SaSe) Director and Research Station leader <br />. Peer review will be provided by two or more <br />independent reviewers for each section <br />. Reviewers' comments will be received and reviewed <br />by sase Director and transmitted to author with <br />instructions for revision <br />. Author will address comments and provide Research <br />Station leader with itemized account of revisions <br />and revised product <br />.
