<br />o <br />'C""J <br />M <br /> <br />CHAPTER V <br /> <br />AGRICULTURAL ~CONOMY <br /> <br />Anticipated A~ricultural Economy <br /> <br />The basic type of agriculture in the area would remain unchanged with <br />project development because of the climatic and soil conditions. With the <br />late-season water provided by the project, however, the plantings of row <br />crops would be increased as would the yield of livestock feeds. <br /> <br />Crops <br /> <br />Alfalfa, small grains, sugar beets, and potatoes would continue to be <br />the principal crops on Harvey Mesa. Land use and yields on lands under <br />Davie ditch would be similar to those on Harvey Mesa. In Dry Elk Valley, <br />livestock feeds would continue to be the principal crops grown.
