Inflow into Fontenelle is about 1110 cfs and the
elevation is about 6403.5 feet. Releases will likely remain near
1500 cfs through the middle of October. At this time, releases
will be adjusted to a level that will likely stay in place
throughout the the fall and winter period. The goal will be to
maintain stable releases during the late fall and winter and also
to draw down the reservoir to elevation 6463.5 feet by April 1,
1998 in anticipation of the 1998 runoff season.

Due to above normal precipitation activity this past two months,
inflows into Fontenelle have been above expected levels for the
past two months, Because of this, releases from Fontenelle
during August and September were higher than what they normally
are. In August and September, inflow was 157 and 153 percent of
normal, respectively.

FLAMING GORGE - Releases from Flaming GQge are now steady at 2900
cfs with no hour to hour fluctuations. Releases were increased
be to 2900 cfs on Friday October 3. This increase was made
because of continued above normal inflows into Flaming Gorge,
September inflow was 170 percent of normal The reservoir level
has remained high since July. Currently, the reservoir has less
than 4 feet of vacant space.
