Species composition, relative abundance, and frequency of occurrence in the
southeastern tributaries of the South Platte River (Hydrounit 10190003). Fourteen siFes contained fish, two sites had water present,
but no fish were found, and one site was dry (Table! 13). Longnose dace, fathead minnow, and
creek chub made up 84.5 percent of the fish co\lect~d, and white sucker and longnose sucker
added an additional 13.6 percent (Table 14). Sand :shiner, johnny darter, green sunfish, and
common carp were found in very low numbers. While the results from the northwestern
tributaries are similar to those from the southeastern tributaries in this hydrounit, there were much
fewer sites without fish in the southeastern tributaries than those in the northwest.
