UPPER TRIBUTARIES OF THE SOUTH PLATTE RIVER- HYDROUNlT 10190002
Hydrounit 10190002 comprises the "upper" tributaries of the South Platte River including,
but not limited to the South Fork of the South Platte River drainage (below Tarryall Creek), the
North Fork of the South Platte River drainage from its headwater at Kenosha Pass to the
confluence with the South Fork just upstream of Strontia Springs Reservoir, the Bear Creek
drainage from its headwater on Mount Evans to the confluence with the South Platte River south
of Denver, the Plum Creek drainage south of Chatfield Reservoir, and smaller tributaries entering
the South Platte River southeast of Denver.

Hydrounit 10190002 is bordered to the southwest by the South Park basin (Hydrounit
10190001), to the east by Hydrounit 10190003 ("middle" tributaries of the South Platte River)
and to the north by the Clear Creek drainage (Hydrounit 10190004). The entire drainage covers
approximately 1846 square miles and is predominantly mountainous (approx. 75%) with the
