After anti-
cipated development as previously discussed, the annual stream
depletion for this purpose is estimated to reach 160,000 acre
feet. This is based on the water requirements of an oil shale
industry of 1,000,000 barrels per day with an allowance of 25
percent to cover the requirement of associated industrial
uses. This depletion also provids for the service of a total
population of 200,000 people. The following table is a summary
of municipal and industrial use:

Stream Depletion by Nunicipal and Industrial Use
Units Acre Feet
Present Anticipated Total
Upper Division 1,100 36,900 38,000
Lower Division 700 121.300 122.000
Total 1,800 158,200 160,000

Total Stream Depletion
Estimates of the present and anticipated total annual
stream depletion is summarized in the following table:

-15-

~"
